I'm selling my RF89 Van Diemen, Chassis number 1415, logbook number H3442 Historic car # FC155.15.18
I imported this car from France in 2020 from the historic race car company Espirit Competition (Laurent Forte). It was a project car for the owner and his son to rebuild. For most of it's later life (2002-2016) it was a driver training car for Manadien Racing in France, who was the original buyer of the car in 1989.
I have raced it in 11 races along the Eastern Coast with a race win at Morgan Park 2022, with second place round finishes at Morgan Park & Queensland race way & regular top 10 finisher in NSW. The car is in excellent condition throughout and fully race ready. All it needs is a faster driver!
It has one race old tyres (3/2024), a new state of the art OMP multi point fire extinguisher system to suit 2024 regulations, new seat belts & radiators. New powder coated exhaust in 2022. Shock rebuild in 2022 to vehicle specs. Full engine rebuild in 2021 with Jamie Larner cylinder head rebuild with new carburettor & clutch. Current engine compressions all between 155-165psi. It had great top speed at Philip Island this year. Cylinder head serviced in 2023. New brake pads for 2024. Rims have recently been stripped and powder coated.
Comes with a spare cylinder head rebuilt in 2021, set of rims and tyres, enough sets of gear ratios to race at any Australian race track.
Also spare nose cone and mould & nose box. Serviced, corner weighted & ready to hit the track
