1974 Genuine RX-3 Coupe - 90's Spec IP Car

Genuine Australian delivered 12A RX3 Coupe.

True to it’s original log-book from 1991 the car still runs period correct 12APP, extended fuel-bowl Weber and has an early LSD and Needham close ratio box with 6-point bolt in cage.

Plenty of mechanical upgrades since this car was pulled from a shed where it had sat for over 13 years. This is an Australian delivered 12AP coupe with tags. It also still has the original VIC rego plate and CAMS log book.

The car originally ran a Mazda Factory Race (MFR) 12A PP with Webber carb. The MFR housings were too corroded to re-use so the engine was fully rebuilt by John Perkins with excellent 12AT housings which were ported to suit.

Other period correct mechanical highlights include a straight cut Needham close ratio 1-1 5th gear 5 speed which sends drive to an LSD. Brakes are 4 piston Volvo front brakes and 2 piston rears which are all fully rebuilt from booster to pads.

The car has rust and the wheel arch are trimmed but is repairable. The rust is mostly found in the LHS rear boot area. The rear sill is also rusty but many replacement trims are now available. It does come with some PAC panels for the lower quarters, sills and rear bumper mounts.
